In addition to professional academic endeavors, Kyle also participates in both professional and amateur creative productions. He has been involved with stage theatre, cinema, prose writing, and podcasting in the capacities of acting, writing, producing, and directing. Best writing nominee for A House Divided (2013), an official entry for The Art Institute of Dallas' annual Horror Film Race

Commissioned to write adaptation of Wiene's The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920) into stage format ("Caligari's Coffin," 2014) for Royse City High School

 

Featured author for the 2013 issue of Texas A&M Commerce's literary journal, the Mayo Review. Recognition was granted for writing Good Morning, Bacon, I've Missed You [playscript] and Servants Grim [prose]

Played the Explorer in Gregory Austin McConnell's indie cult film, Sprouting Orchids (2014)

Performed in multiple film festival productions, including the Dallas Horror Film Race's Rest for the Wicked (2012) and A House Divided

Participated in a variety of academic stage productions including Dracula (as Van Helsing), The White Rose (Agent Mahler), You Can't Take It With You (Kolinkov), and A Plague of Angels (Dr. Bill Mills)
