Fandom Studies Presentation for NCA 2022 at New Orleans!

Kyle recently attended the 2022 National Communication Association annual conference to present research with his co-authors, Caleb George Hubbard and Dr. Lindsey Meeks. Their paper examined communications by which users in virtual Marvel fan groups stratify their communities. The research is part of a longer ongoing project exploring [strategic] communicative constructions of mainstream fan communities. Additionally, Kyle was able to explore the city of New Orleans, in which the conference was hosted, with his friend and mentor Dr. Eric Kramer.
